The ring... and I don't mean the movie

Ok ... so a while back, I had went into Aldo with one of my visiting cousins and saw this ring they had in the Men's section. I had really liked it, but it was $20 that I didn't have at that time. I said that whenever I go back to a mall that has an Aldo store, I'll get it.

So anyway, I went out the other night to dinner with some co-workers of mine, as well as my mother. After that, we decided to go to the mall and walk off some of the food that we indulged in. Of course, there was an Aldo store and I went in looking for the ring.

It's a stainless steel ring that is two toned. It's a pattern of shiny and brushed squares, alternating one after the next... either way I love it and so did my mom and co-workers. When I went to buy it, they only had a size 11 and 10. The 11 fits my ring fingers perfectly, but a 12 would've been ideal.

My mom, for whatever reason, was so against me buying the ring. When I did, she was complaining about how girls first look for a ring and when they see that, they will think that you're taken.

Of course my first thought was, "Good! I don't like girls, I like men!" Then I thought... well it's not like I've had any females express interest in me before, so what's the big deal? (Remember, I have to act straight) ... I mean, on Facebook, they have a social profile and one of the questions is would you date me and 4 people answered and all answered no!

So whatever... the ring is currently on my left finger and I don't care. I would wear it on my right, but apparently that signifies that you're gay and married. Since I must remain closeted, the left it shall remain ...

It just amazed me at how pissed my mom got... what the hell?
